What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Clerk position at Universal Industries, Inc.?
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter customer orders into the company's sales system, ensuring correct product codes, quantities, and delivery details.
- Manage customer accounts by keeping contacts and shipping information accurate and up to date. Request and track customer forms such as sales tax exemptions and W9’s.
- Verify product availability and keep track of lead times for sales staff.
- Prepare sales proposals and quotations under guidance from sales team.
- Assist the sales team with lead generation and follow-up activities.
- Maintain accurate sales records and customer data software
- Enter data into Excel spreadsheets
- Other office duties as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Customer Service: Comfortable answering phones and transferring calls, written and verbal communication skills, email correspondence experience
- Data Entry Proficiency: attention to detail, ability to multitask
- Software Skills: Microsoft Office- Outlook, Excel, experience with basic office equipment
- Other – reliable transportation, strong organizational skills, punctual, ability to lift 40lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
