Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to join our team. This role involves providing interpretation services for In-person and both pre-scheduled and on-demand video appointments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to facilitating effective communication and possess the necessary certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide ASL interpretation for clients during in-person and video appointments.
- Work with clients to ensure clear communication and understanding.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines of interpreting.
- Collaborate with other interpreters and professionals as needed.
- Stay updated on best practices and advancements in ASL interpretation.
Qualifications:
- RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or BEI (Board for Evaluation of Interpreters) certification required.
- Experience in interpreting in various settings (medical, educational, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours but hours of highest volume at 9am to 4pm PST
