This position will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, which requires ability to juggle several tasks at once. Responsibilities include processing accounts receivable and accounts payable, reconciling credit card statements, and lead special projects. Ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of mortgage accounting to assist with funding wires, purchase advice, and borrower payments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide support for Assistant Controller and VP Controller as needed
- Data Input/ Processing of A/P and A/R tasks
- Generate weekly vendor payment checks, ACH as needed
- Coordinate interface between accounting software and other applications as necessary
- Daily mortgage funding wires for mortgage loans funding
- Daily processing of lender purchase advices for mortgage loans being purchased
- Transmit first payment letters to borrowers monthly
- Processing of mortgage insurance premium payments as needed
- Maintain volume reporting in excel, update 2x a week
- Communicate with accounting personnel, clients and/or vendors as necessary to resolve accounting related issues
- Provide assistance with special projects as necessary or requested
- Develop efficient new accounting procedures and make suggestions for improvements of existing procedures
- Project an image of professionalism through demeanor and appearance while acting with integrity and honesty
- Strive for teamwork and cooperation and actively participate in goals for self-improvement.

Position Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel, comfortable with advanced VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.
- Loan Vision software and mortgage accounting experience required
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
- Two years related experience, or
- Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting
