Position Summary
Our client is seeking an International Trade & Supply Chain Associate with at least 4 years of experience for an immediate opening. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in transportation, cargo, logistics, and maritime regulatory matters, with direct experience in compliance, licensing, and Federal Maritime Commission dealings.
The role is housed within the firm’s Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit and will involve cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders throughout the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients in the cargo, transportation, and logistics sectors on regulatory compliance
- Handle licensing and matters involving the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC)
- Work closely with shippers, motor carriers, rail companies, and ocean vessels
- Collaborate across practice groups on supply chain legal strategy
- Manage multiple projects and communicate complex legal strategies effectively
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in international trade, maritime, or supply chain-related law
- Deep understanding of regulatory issues impacting cargo and logistics industries
- Experience working with the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) is essential
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Strong academic record and exceptional judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be licensed and in good standing in the state of residence or preferred office
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $220,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year
