What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Analyst position at Universal Music Group?

How we LEAD:
The Legal Analyst will be responsible for contract interpretation, analysis and
briefing, and will act as a liaison between our music label Business Affairs
departments and the Royalties department. The position requires experience
analyzing legal documents and providing practical legal and business advice.
How you'll CREATE:
- Provide interpretation of terms and conditions of contractual royalty obligations.
- Complete royalty-centered briefs based on legal documents to ensure compliance.
- Input royalty rates and terms from briefs into royalties translation system.
- Research and answer issues that arise from both label business affairs and royalties department.
Bring your VIBE:
- 1-3 years related experience.
- BA/BS degree and JD degree.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize; works well under pressure.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in fast paced environment.

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
