How We LEAD
UMPG seeks to recruit a highly motivated Music Publishing professional to fulfil the Senior Coordinator, Asia Regional Administration role within our Global Administration team.
Asia Regional Administration is a satellite of our wider Global Administration organization based in Franklin, TN and follows the model of our European and Latam regional strategies.
The successful applicant will provide direct support to our local administration teams in our local offices and will connect them to our wider Global Administration organization through a program of regular engagement.
You will become an expert on the operational landscape of the Asia Pacific region and will use your knowledge to create resources to support the wider business.
You will support the Director to coordinate and Chair engagement calls with our offices in Asia and our Global Administration department leaders. You will log and track subsequent requirements, policies and catalogue specific expectations through shared resources (we use Monday.com).
The role will maintain a knowledgebase of regional collective rights management society policies and current affairs.
You will directly support our local offices by aiding with catalogue copyright ingestion for new deals using our proprietary data ingestion tools. This function of the role will be well supported by business experts from our Global Copyright team. You will also help support the resolution of copyright queries for international repertoire.
The role will connect to our Digital Administration team to ensure that expectations of DSP claims are fulfilled, and that metadata flows into our digital licensing vehicles to ensure that we maximize collection accuracy and value for our songwriters and partners.

How You Will CREATE
- Develop and maintain a knowledgebase of regional society policies and current affairs.
- Assist with catalogue implementation for new and ongoing publishing deals.
- Liaise with data stakeholders to ensure that recording metadata flows to our digital licensing partners.
- Maintain Monday.com boards specific to our Asia offices to log and track requirements, issues and expectations.
- Assist our Global Copyright Department with troubleshooting society registration issues.
- Assist with training local offices around the world to use UMPG’s proprietary technologies and to ensure our processes and controls are adhered to copyright systems user-access process as required, including internal audits.
- Respond to queries from our local offices, triaging them and delegating to other departments as appropriate.
- Assist the department with the preparation of Chart metrics.
- Other projects and responsibilities as needed in response to changing business requirements.
- Global Administration leadership in London and LA.
- Global Administration teams in Franklin, TN
- Administration teams across Asia
- Global Technology in London.
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a copyright and/or royalty administration role preferably at a publisher, label or society.
- Chinese or Korean fluency is a plus.
- An awareness of copyright functions in the music publishing business.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (lookup functions, pivot tables etc.) is required.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate, convey and explain complex information to a wide variety of audiences.
- Curiosity about business administration processes and interest in their continuous improvement
- A collaborative team member able to work with well with colleagues in other Global Administration Teams, as well as local teams around the world.
- Goal-oriented individuals who work towards team/department/company objectives and take pride in achieving targets and meeting deadlines.
