This Special Events intern will go behind the scenes to help Universal’s Food & Beverage team deliver world class Special Events like Halloween Horror Nights, Mardi Gras, and more. This intern will work alongside team members and leaders in both field work and project management capacities to build and implement global marquee events. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates global content, documentation, verbal and written communication including but not limited to executive presentations.
- Participates in field work and hands on training.
- Assists management team in creating both long and short-form content.
- Partners to produce project deliverables such as menus and signages, brand books, documentation of brand standards, and communication content.
- Supports the implementation of technology to enhance processes.
- Aligns each project with the goal of positively affecting guest satisfaction, team member satisfaction, and financial return for the department.
- Creates measurable Key Performance Indicators for tasks.
- Partners with many departments including Universal Creative Placemaking, Marketing, Finance, and Entertainment to achieve goals.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
- A transcript is required upon application.
- Preferred majors include: Event Planning, Hospitality Management, Project Management, Theme Park Management, or similar.
- Can lift up to 50 lbs.
- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
- All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
