JOB SUMMARY:
Develops the retail pricing strategy to optimize revenue and unit penetration through strong partnership with Revenue Management, Demand and Supply Planning as well as Brand and Category Management teams. Provides input into the annual operating plans related to pricing & liquidation margin maximization. Generates promotional & liquidation recommendations to increase guest per capita spend as well as to right-size inventory levels on high stocked items. Drives the planning and execution of the transition to new pricing strategies through partnership with Supply Planning, Retail Operations and Warehouse Operations. Partners with multiple teams on the discount strategy for team member and annual pass holder facing stores and drives the exit strategies for all liquidation actions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
A bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
EXPERIENCE:
5 years of experience in pricing, inventory management, finance, or related roles within the retail industry or a closely related field within a dynamic business environment, or combined education and experience.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drives retail pricing strategy, establishing the matrix by category with Revenue Management support related to utilizing advanced analytics and pricing optimization tools that leverage historical sales data, demand patterns, guest demographics, and price elasticity. Partner with Category teams to understand the value proposition of different brands, categories, and innovative piece types. High level of focus on connected items and “super categories” as defined by leadership.
- Execute changes to the retail price matrix in partnership with the Supply planning team (inbound orders), Warehouse operations, and Retail Operations to ensure the highest incremental revenue at the most efficient cost. For category-based initiatives, prioritizing items based on updating inbound orders and timing when on-hand inventories are lowest. Items changes to be executed at the earliest possible time to maximize uplift.
- Evaluate opportunities to implement promotional offerings to drive incremental revenue and margin dollars and reduce inventories. Manage the implementation of agreed upon strategies with relevant partners. Identify opportunities to support the quick and smooth transition of price changes through signage, such as excluding retailers on tickets.
- Collaborate with partners to drive the liquidation strategies related to in-store markdowns and back of house channels to drive reduction in inventories with maximizing the return on the inventory value. Partner with Supply planning and retail operations on the assortments for liquidation events executed on each property to focus on reducing inventory levels while maximizing the impact of reserve dollars.
- Summarize the pricing strategies and the anticipated impact on operating revenue related to current year performance and future operating plans. Drive reporting related to pricing initiatives, promotions, and liquidation efforts to all levels of the organization regarding effectiveness and impact on inventory. Summarize the results of discount strategies for team member/annual pass holder stores and liquidation events.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
