JOB SUMMARY :
The Coordinator supports the overall operations of the public relations team, including the execution of overall programs and tactics, participation in department planning, pitching media, monitoring coverage related to Universal Orlando and media visits, and more.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assists with development and execution of creative and strategic tactics to garner media coverage – including PR plan development, helping lead or support PR tactics, assisting with special event logistics and other project support as needed.
- Manage and build relationships with assigned media, brainstorm and implement pitches and story ideas, and secure coverage placements for Universal Orlando Resort.
- Assists with research needs and monitoring media coverage, including real-time updates on important stories relating to UOR, its competitors or industry related issues.
- Maintain internal databases, including updating media lists, and assist with Cision distributions to media targets.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
