Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for creation, planning, and execution of global Team Member engagement events and recognition programs. Regularly communicates with UO Department Senior Leadership on services to drive Team Member engagement. Performs Management functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, training, coaching, mentoring, task assignment, performance evaluations, and allocating staff resources. Supports and partners with Team Member Engagement leadership delivering on all aspects of the function.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads daily operation of all Team Member programs, events, leisure activities, and services. Develops weekly departmental schedule and processes/analyzes weekly labor. Train, coach, develop and counsel the Team Member Experiences staff. Establishes standards, monitors guest service, develops marketing plans, analyzes and prioritizes program offerings and develops operating procedures to drive business efficiency. Ensures effective financial management including annual budget creation, cost negotiation and accurate expense tracking related to all responsibilities.
  • Acts as project manager on all aspects of mid and large scale company-wide Team Member engagement and all HR events, to include developing original creative concepts and logistical planning. Serves as project lead for timelines, marketing staffing plans, and measurement data follow-up. Partners with various departments such as Internal Communications, Catering, Events, Entertainment, Security and Operations to ensure flawless execution. Supervises the Sports & Leisure program design and implementation.
  • Manages the daily and monthly administration of all Company wide recognition, service, and reward programs. Develops and maintains tracking metrics, reviews and updates program policies and SOP’s regularly. Regularly communicates with internal Senior Leadership on program updates. Makes recommendations for process improvements and follows through to implementation changes. Continually solicits Team Member feedback of programs to ensure satisfaction and enhance/expand future offerings. Responsible for ensuring budget and contract compliance for these programs.
  • Oversees and drives all vendor and community (recognition and work life) partnerships. Ensure quality services and effective administration and presentation of programs to Team Members. Serves as primary liaison between the company and vendors to ensure contract compliance and service delivery. Analyzes program participation metrics to measure value to team members and uses data to provide enhancement and change recommendations.
  • Administers the barter program and makes recommendations designed to support Employer of Choice initiatives or drive positive behaviors. Initiates all barters on behalf of Team Member Experiences and the UO Management team for recognition and team building purposes. Ensures all transactions happen within established IRS and UO guidelines.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5 years in large scale party or event planning, hospitality operations. 3 years in a leadership role. Human Resource administration and/or Project Management administration oversite of various recognition programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
