WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a detailed-orientated, passionate and energetic Scheduler to join our South Dakota team in Sioux Falls! To be successful in this role the right candidate will have strong teamwork and communication skills and the motivation to support our current nurses, new nurses, clients and client families. Being highly organized, confidential, able to work in a face-paced environment and enjoy problem solving is critical in this position.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES
In collaboration with the Administrator / Clinical Manager, creates and distributes monthly schedules for field staff to inform them of date, time, hours scheduled and includes which case the employee will be working on the following month.
- Reviews and utilizes nurses’ availability to create a work schedule.
- Verifies timesheets against master schedule to ensure staff have completed hours as scheduled. Assures timely processing of field staff timesheets.
- Monitors client hours including frequencies, per Plan of Care (POC) and communicates with Administrator and Clinical Manager. Completes Alternate Scheduling Notifications (ASN) as needed.
- Organizes the schedule as needed to fulfill staffing commitments to clients in absence of scheduled nurse and / or in an emergency situation.
- Performs data entry by creating correspondence, memos, forms, etc. as needed.
- Assists in arranging orientation in clients’ homes with Clinical Manager and / or Administrator and field staff.
- Alerts Clinical Manager and Administrator of vacant positions and communicates staffing needs to the Corporate office for posting positions.
- Manages telephone inquiries and transfers them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
- Communicates all client and employee issues with Clinical Manager and Administrator.
- Makes staffing replacements, as needed during office hours, in order to ensure compliance with the established physician ordered POC.

JUDGMENT AND INITIATIVE :
Must work well as a team player, as well as, work independently. Must demonstrate a high degree of judgment in the application of agency policies. Must exercise good initiative in the development and implementation of the staffs’ schedules. The position requires a high degree of confidentiality.
WORK CONDITIONS / HAZARDS :
Occasional exposure to hazardous substances and infectious diseases. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling of approximately twenty-five pounds. Work environment includes frequent interruptions.

Some traveling to other states may be necessary to perform this job. Periodic exposure to weather elements
