Costing Estimator Begin a career with UPC as a Costing Estimator. We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated and experienced candidate with drafting background to join our team.
The Costing Estimator is responsible for estimating material, labor, and associated costs from receipt of project drawings to the final proposal. Candidates will also be responsible for interim and post job studies. This task will be accomplished through a strong team spirit, exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and an extensive knowledge of material and manufacturing process. Knowledge of store fixtures, P.O.P displays is a plus.
Responsibilities :
- Create material takeoffs and labor estimates according to sketches or engineering specification
- Research and specify materials to be used on products.
- Create costing documentation
- Analyze actual labor, material and cost against costing and labor reports
- Interact with Design Engineers to ensure accuracy of BOM (bill of materials)
- Review BOMs to ensure they reflect latest manufacturing practices
Qualifications :
UPC is a 40 year old design and manufacturing firm producing retail store fixtures and Point of Purchase displays.
