The Junior Account Manager acts as the primary point of contact and execution with our licensed retail customers, when then primary Account Manager is unavailable. This position seeks to develop highly effective retail relationships that are based on the belief that when we help our customers achieve their goals, we will benefit. The Junior Account Manager will provide territory coverage and merchandising support for assigned areas.
In your role as a Junior Account Manager, you will be responsible for the following essential functions:
- Maintain exceptional knowledge of our off-premise sales channel
- Proficiency in product maintenance and merchandising responsibilities for optimal consumer experience
- Execute route specific business plans through strategic selling in partnership with our Account Managers and Sales Managers
- Review sales objectives, gather point of sale (POS) merchandise
- Sell in creative displays and build assigned displays to retail partners to be at optimal locations within the account to maximize revenue opportunities
- Position permanent and temporary POS, reset floors and work closely with Sales Manager and Account Managers to ensure to most successful representation of Ace Distributing’s family of brands at the point of purchase
- Conduct In-Person, face-to-face, sales calls
- Develop and maintain an effective rapport with all assigned customers, where there is open communication and trust
- Enter order information accurately, as needed, via our mobile application
- Display skills to work independently and efficiently within assigned route matrix
- Ensure that customers are sufficiently merchandised by controlling back room stock and shelves
- Display a proficient knowledge of the Ace Distributing family of brands to continually provide valuable resources to retail partners.
- Promote and foster a collaborative teamwork based culture to ensure market success
- Present new ideas and new ways of thinking in an effective and persuasive manner
- Provide a consistent, positive image of Ace Distributing, its executives and employees to both in-house and outside public
- Participate, when assigned, in evening and weekend promotional work and other special events scheduled by Supervisor
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma plus significant related experience
- Sales experience B2B or strong educational background in Sales
- Valid Driver’s License in accordance with insurance company requirements
- Must be able to work from a ladder and use basic tools
- Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices
Other important information to consider:
- Must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation, which may exceed a normal 8 hour workday
- The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
- Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. Also, frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must be able to move 50 pounds when necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently this job requires an employee to walk into the warehouse. The warehouse is not heated or cooled with the exception of the cooler where the temperature is maintained between 32 and 40 degrees. The warehouse can also be very loud due to vehicles and forklifts running. The employee may be exposed to exhaust fumes while in the warehouse.
