Job Summary: Quality Technician is to inspect and test parts to meet or exceed acceptance criteria, tolerances, and customer requirements. A Quality Technician audits forms, tags, and all other production documents to assure that proper procedures are followed and paperwork is being completed as required. A Quality Technician audits material, in-process parts, scrap and final parts to assure proper identification and traceability protocols are followed.
Shift: 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3 PM - 11 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Need to read and understand prints, standards, inspection criteria and technical documents to determine with how the products are manufactured.
- Use tools such as magnifying glasses, calipers, micrometers, and rulers.
- Knows how to approve goods for release.
- Interacts with other technicians, hourly personnel, supervisors, engineers, and managers.
- Can use Outlook, MS Office, and MS Excel.
- Audits to ensure that products are being made to standard, and raise concern when necessary.
- Makes sure the workforce is properly trained in UPPI's quality management system requirements and has the skills needed to ensure the production of a high quality product.
- Identifying problems and making improvements
- Perform other duties as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- A High School diploma or relevant skills
- Eager to learn and take on new tasks
- Adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment
- Able to multi-task
Preferred:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Knowledge of ISO 13485:2016
- Knowledge of SQF HACCP documentation
- CQT
