Volunteer (Fundraising Manager)

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising initiatives and drive our mission forward. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in public relations, strategic planning, and relationship management to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community partners. This role requires a proactive individual who can develop innovative fundraising strategies, write compelling grant proposals, and effectively utilize databases to track progress and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Cultivate relationships with current and potential donors through effective communication and engagement.
• Conduct research to identify new funding opportunities and potential grant sources.
• Write persuasive grant proposals and reports that align with the organization's mission.
• Utilize software tools such as Raiser’s Edge for tracking donations, managing donor relationships, and analyzing fundraising data.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to promote fundraising campaigns and events effectively.
• Monitor fundraising progress and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Organize fundraising events that engage the community and enhance the organization’s visibility.
• Provide training and support to staff and volunteers involved in fundraising activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fundraising or development roles, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
• Strong public relations skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
• Proficient in using databases for tracking donations, managing donor information, and analyzing data trends.
• Experience in grant proposal writing with a successful track record of securing funding.
• Excellent strategic planning abilities to create innovative fundraising initiatives.
• Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with donors, stakeholders, and community partners.
• Familiarity with software tools relevant to fundraising operations is highly desirable.
