Part-Time Physical Education Teacher

Universal School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic physical education teacher part time to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching physical education to students from kindergarten through grade 6, fostering a love for physical activity and promoting a healthy life lifestyle among young learners.

Key Details

· Position Title: Physical Education Teacher

· Employment Type: part time

· Weekly Hours: 20 hours

· Salary Range: $20 - $25/hour

· Grade levels: Kindergarten – 6th grade

* 189 work days

Responsibilities

· Conduct engaging in appropriate PE classes that include a variety of activities such as team sports individual exercises and recreational games aligned to the New York State standards

· Assessment: monitor and evaluate student progress come up providing feedback and encouraging students to achieve their fitness goals

· Safety: ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all students by maintaining equipment, enforcing safety and rules, and adapting activities to meet the needs of all learners

· Collaboration: work closely with other teachers and staff to integrate physical education with other subjects and school activities

· Communication: maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns related to physical education

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in physical education exercise science or related field

Experience: prior experience teaching physical education two elementary school students is preferred

Skills

· Strong knowledge of physical fitness health education and sports excellent communication and interpersonal skills ability to motivate and inspire students

· Proficiency in classroom management and creating a positive learning environment
