USI/Asteelflash is actively looking for a highly organized and talented Human Resources Intern to help support the HR activities at our location in Milpitas, CA. The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources Department with various administrative and operational tasks.
Candidates for this position will be immersed in the inner workings of our business, working closely with all employees. Candidates must also be able to communicate effectively with employees, management and customers and be able to work well within a team environment and always demonstrate personal integrity. The successful candidate will be able to easily work in a fast-paced environment and switch between tasks frequently.
This position will require you to be onsite 100% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:
Recruitment & Hiring Support
- Assisting with job postings on job boards and company websites
- Screening resumes and shortlisting candidates
- Scheduling interviews and coordinating with hiring managers
- Communicating with candidates regarding interview schedules and feedback
- Assisting in preparing onboarding documents (offer letters, contracts, etc.)
- Helping new hires complete paperwork and HR formalities
- Conducting or assisting with employee orientation sessions
- Managing exit formalities for departing employees
- Maintaining employee records and HR databases
- Assisting in updating HR policies and procedures
- Handling confidential HR documents and ensuring compliance
- Preparing HR reports and presentations
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources, Administration, Psychology, sociology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 0-2 years of experience working in an HR related field.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
- Extremely detail oriented with a strong ability to manage a high priority project and confidential information
- Passionate about company culture and the employee experience
- Flexibility, team orientation, ability and willingness to learn
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) for documentation and reporting.
- Familiarity with HR software or applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
Salary : $20 - $25
