Universal Screens is seeking a Production Manager to lead our production operations. Already an industry leader, we have partnered with Hunter Douglas and are now in the process of rapid growth and expansion. This role will be part of our management team to lead our production operations through this transition as we scale up to meet increased demand.
As part of the senior management team, this position reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will not only manage production but also play a critical role in training and mentoring staff, introducing new processes, and guiding teams through change. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure production strategies align with the company’s broader objectives.
The successful candidate will implement LEAN manufacturing practices and methodologies to maintain high standards in quality, efficiency, and safety while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.
• Production Planning: Collaborate to develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource allocation.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and requirements, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Budget Management: Monitor and manage production costs, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions to stay within budget.
• Safety Management: Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety training and 5S audits.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including supply chain, finance, human resources, and quality assurance, to align production efforts with company goals.
• Reporting: Prepare and present various production reports, KPIs, and analysis
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
