Pay Range: $25-$35/hour
Job Summary
Coax and Fiber technicians will splice fiber optic cables in the air, underground, and in commercial buildings.
Primary Responsibilities
- Must be able to pull cable through commercial buildings.
- Set up splice locations, termination points and general fiber optic construction
- Fuse fiber optic cables in a production environment for small to large projects
- Test and troubleshoot fiber optic networks for acceptance testing, trouble identification and fiber characterization
- Use of headend test equipment
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates degree in electronics or equivalent field preferred
- Previous work experience in the telecommunications field
- Must possess time management skills and meet deadlines
- Must be computer savvy and be able to use specialized programs and databases
- Must be analytical, able to exercise good judgment, field safety and apply logical reasoning in seeking solutions to problems
- Ability to learn new technologies as needed to support future systems
- Must have current unrestricted driver’s license and dot med card
