Primary Objective

• Provide technical support related to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of products that safely and cost-effectively meet requirements for quality and delivery, as well as process metallurgy support for operations.
  
  

Position Reports To

• Technical Manager
  
  

Responsibilities

• Review material for compliance with critical order requirements.
• Develop and improve manufacturing plans and processes.
• Perform statistical analysis and correlate process and product data.
• Support non-conformance disposition, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Review customer claims and issue technical reports.
• Provide customer support and participate in customer audits.
• Compliance with Quality and Safety systems and procedures
• No supervisory responsibilities

Education

• Minimum 4-year degree in Metallurgy or Materials Science or a related field
  
  

Preferred Experience

• 1-3 years minimum experience in ferrous metallurgy of Aerospace materials
• 1-3 years minimum experience in hot working and heat treatment processing
