Universal Stainless, headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel products serving primarily to the Aerospace, Energy, Automotive and general industrial markets.
Position
As a key member of the Accounting team, this position will report to the Corporate Controller and be responsible for components of the monthly close, maintaining the general ledger and reporting system, internal and external auditor support, and other accounting, reporting, and treasury functions. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will also own various analytics and projects providing support to various areas throughout the organization in an efficient and accurate manner.

As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will also own various analytics and projects providing support to various areas throughout the organization in an efficient and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for SG&A and other owned areas
- Prepare and maintain reports in the Management Reporter financial reporting system
- Maintain the General Ledger (maintain chart of accounts)
- Prepare and record accounting adjustments for revenue in accordance with ASC 606
- Prepare and distribute certain month-end financial reporting for management
- Assist Accounts payable function, including analytics
- Assist Accounts receivable function, including analytics
- Assist with cash management
- Provide audit support
- Coordinate the completion of balance sheet account reconciliations for all locations
- Generate 1099s for vendors & manage the 1099 compliance process
- Assist with special projects
- 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Superior data management and data analysis skills
- Thorough knowledge of accounting (US GAAP) and management/ cost accounting principles & practices
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, primary Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Previous use of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains a plus
- MBA or CPA a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization, including directly with senior leadership

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
