Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. , in Titusville, PA produces customized shapes primarily for original equipment manufacturers that are cold rolled from purchased coiled strip, flat bar or extruded bar at its Precision Rolled Products department and as well as operates three vacuum-arc remelting furnaces. HELPER PROCESSOR (PRP DIVISION)
Primary function
Assist in the Processing operation.
Basic Responsibilities
Set up and operate various grinding and buffing machines to remove surface defects and / or prepare the surface of materials for further processing.
Perform and maintain records of processing operations.
Assist in rolling operations.
Perform final product inspection.
Set-up and operate various cut-off equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Perform lower-level duties when necessary.

Direction Exercised
Direct efforts of Utility workers as necessary.
Tools and Equipment
Abrasive belt (bumper) grinder, multi-head belt grinder, swing frame grinders, buffing machines, grit blasting machine, lift truck, electric side loading truck, floor-controlled crane hoists, hydraulic lift buggy and pull cart, weighing scales, rockwell hardness tester, banding tools, abrasive cut-off saws, shear knife machines, and various hand tools.
