What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager Inside Sales position at Universal Stainless?
Primary Objective
To perform and oversee day-to-day customer service and inside sales tasks. Ensure timely and accurate quoting, order entry, and invoicing. Mentoring and training of inside sales staff. Coordination with other departments of the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow key accounts
- Timely quotations
- Customer service, including status checks
- Oversee invoicing
- Responsible for all order entry functions and accuracy: contract review
- Maintain electronic customer files
- Work with inside sales at all Universal locations on process improvement to enhance the customer experience
- CRM maintenance
- Interaction with quality and financial auditors as needed
- Entering trial orders and other internal orders as needed
- Freight reporting and analysis
Supervisory Responsibilities
Training and oversight of inside sales representatives
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Strong interpersonal skills in a supervisory role
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and others as needed
Experience/Education
- Previous Customer Service and Inside Sales experience
- Knowledge of steel products, specifications, and processing routes
