Dunkirk Specialty Steel, LLC, produces semi-finished and finished specialty steel long products and plate including nickel alloy, stainless steel, tool steel and aircraft quality low alloy steels. Our products, which are sold to service centers, forgers, re-rollers and original equipment manufacturers, are further processed by our customers for use in a variety of industries. We are looking for a Quality Assistant to join our team in Dunkirk, NY.
- Interview/Tour with Quality Manager
- Drug Screen- Universal Stainless follows New York State laws when concerning marijuana use.
- Background Check- The background check does not delay employment.
- Metatarsal Boots are required. A boot voucher will be issued on your first day for you to purchase a pair of boots at a local store. The cost of the boots will then be deducted from your first 3 paychecks.

QUALITY ASSISTANT
Position Overview:
- To be given direction by the Dunkirk Quality Manager on assigned job responsibilities regarding support of the Quality Assurance department functions.
Specific Responsibilities:
- AS9100 / Nadcap compliance support
- Quality Systems comprehension & training support
- Audit support
- Corrective Actions support
- Customer / OEM audit support
- Temperature Uniformity Surveys
- System Accuracy Tests
- Material Certifications
- Management Review data collection / trend analysis
Other Duties:
- Retrieving documents, filing / scanning documents, printing documents, emailing documents, summarize data for reports, and general office support. Other tasks as assigned.
Skills / Abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office and general computing
- Detail oriented/Organized

- Able to communicate with Customer and all levels of salary and hourly employees.
Education & Experience:
- Associate Degree in Engineering or equivalent Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Physical & Other Requirements:
- Ability to safely move around in a heavy plant environment.
