This position is responsible for providing development and support services for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint environments. The role is based on site at Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey.
What will you be doing?
This position will be a key member of the UTRS Picatinny Arsenal IT team. Duties include:
· Develop, customize, and administer SharePoint sites, including lists, libraries, pages, and workflows.
· Create custom solutions using SPFx, PowerShell, REST APIs, and client-side scripting (CSOM/JSOM).
· Build Microsoft Teams applications, including custom tabs, bots, and messaging extensions using Teams SDK and Microsoft Graph.
· Integrate SharePoint and Teams with other M365 tools and third-party systems to streamline collaboration and data access.
· Design and implement business solutions using Power Apps and Power Automate.
· Automate Teams and SharePoint provisioning tasks using Graph API and scripting tools.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support and training.
· Ensure compliance with organizational security, governance, and data retention policies.
· Assist with migration of legacy SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online and modernization of classic sites.
· Monitor site usage, manage permissions, and enforce governance best practices.
· Contribute to technical documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles.
· Work within an Agile team to prioritize tasks, deliver solutions, and ensure continuous improvement.
What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?
This position will require the following skillsets and experience:
· 5 years of experience developing and administering SharePoint.
· 2 years of experience developing Microsoft Teams solutions using Teams SDK, Graph API, and associated frameworks.
· Proficiency with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell, JavaScript, and REST/Graph APIs.
· Experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven) and Power Automate.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Graph and integration of M365 services.
· Strong understanding of M365 governance, compliance, permissions, and lifecycle management.
· Experience supporting users and delivering training and documentation.
· Proven experience migrating legacy SharePoint to modern environments (e.g., using ShareGate, Metalogix).
· Familiarity with Azure services including Azure AD, Logic Apps, and Functions is a plus.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting technical concepts and project updates to executive leadership and C-suite stakeholders.
· Ability to work effectively in regulated, security-conscious environments.
· Active Security Clearance is required.
· Preferred: Experience supporting projects within the federal government, DoD, or other highly regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, critical infrastructure).
