Shipping/Receiving Truck Driver

JOB DESCRIPTION :

• Shipping, Packing, and Truck Driving Personnel: Responsible for delivering and picking up specified items

as routed and assuring that pick-ups are accounted for and that items are kept free of damage. Responsible

for receiving purchased parts, and UPS shipments.

LINES OF AUTHORITY :

• This position report to the Shipping Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Complies with all rules of the Company Handbook.
2. Complies with all applicable Work Instructions.
3. Complies with all applicable Procedures.
4. Complies with all applicable Policies.
5. Help in coordinating material flow and control to ensure Customer satisfaction.
6. Help oversee the safe loading of materials.
7. Maintain a good Company image and Customer/Supplier relations through daily business contacts.
8. Ensures all paperwork matches packing slips.
9. Keeping the trucks clean and orderly.
10. Responsible for the safe loading and unloading of Company trucks.
11. Responsible for daily maintenance checks on the Company trucks each day before leaving the building. That preventive maintenance may include ; checking headlights, tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, tire pressure and condition, all fluid levels.
12. Responsible for keeping Company trucks clean, inside and outside.
13. Following all Company rules while at any deliveries or pick-ups.
14. Responsible for the safe keeping and maintenance of company property.
15. Responsible for keeping in touch with the Shipping Manager/Dispatcher if delays occur at pick-ups or delivery points.
16. Responsible for safe conduct on the road and abiding by all State and Federal laws.

EDUCATION :

• High School Diploma minimum
• Truck Driver - Must have Valid Chauffeurs Drivers License.

EXPERIENCE :

• Two (2) years experience in the related classification

ABILITIES :

• Able to follow instructions
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Able to do repetitive lifting throughout the work day
• Hi-Lo driving ability and experience
• Good math skills
