Customer Service Specialist

Purpose

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for handling customer inquiries, processing payments, and generating work orders for Universal Utilities, LLC. This role ensures efficient and courteous service for customers via phone and email while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Support & Communication
• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing customer inquiries and concerns related to billing, deposits, and accounts.
• Provide courteous and accurate information while maintaining customer and company confidentiality.
• Route calls and messages to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist field service technicians with resident account inquiries and dispatch service as needed.

• Payment Processing
• Process in-person and phone payments, ensuring accuracy.
• Open and sort incoming mail for payment processing.
• Handle credit card payments and enter them into the billing system.

• Account Management & Documentation
• Log and update customer account notes with resolutions, initials, and dates.
• Generate and file work orders related to company services.

• Office Maintenance & Other Duties
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
• Experience with payment processing and billing systems preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
