Description
The Assembly worker will assemble and install hydraulic components and sub-assemblies onto equipment being manufactured using a variety of methods and techniques.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, layout and installation of hydraulic hose and components.
- Measure, cut, fabricate and install hydraulic hoses and hose clamps using hand and power tools.
- Connect hoses to components.
- Assist in the layout and installation of hardware based on job specifications.
- Follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that hose connections are proper.
- Ensure all hoses have chaff protection where required.
- Assist in fixing leaks and repairing faulty components.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Hydraulic systems and components.
- Tools, equipment and systems used in hydraulic systems and components.
- Federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices.
Ability to:

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics.
- Use hand and power tools.
- Think independently and creatively to problem solve.
- Take initiative, self-manage time and production through multi-tasking.
- Contribute to a team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support and collaboration amongst coworkers.
- Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers.
Education, Training & Experience
- Two years’ experience in the assembly of heavy machinery/equipment or other related disciplines.
- Experience with assembly and disassembly of hydraulic components.
