What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ironworker position at Universal Welding Services LLC?
We are looking to hire "SKILLED" Ironworkers to join our team. The ideal candidate has a willingness to work hard and an eye for detail, and is able to work both independently and as part of a team. NO FELONIES and MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. I WANT ABSOLUTELY NO BEGINNERS. The successful candidate should be able to read plans, interpret blueprints and demonstrate high levels of dexterity and skill. Must have your own hand tools needed for iron working and steel fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Perform manual labor on construction sites.
- Gather and organize tools for the job.
- Drive to job sites in a vehicle.
- Operate manlifts and Forklifts
- Install steel girders, bar joists, beams, and cables to reinforce building structures.
- Lift 50 pounds of tools, materials, or construction equipment.
- Operate machines that cut, bend and grind metal beams, angles and tubes.
- Follow all jobsite safety protocalls
- Erect structural steel using basic rigging knowledge
- Know how to interpret blue prints
