What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Social Studies Teacher position at University Academy Charter High School?
Position begins ASAP for remainder of 24-25 SY, with possibility for renewal for 25-26 SY.
Teach 5-6 46-minute periods of world culture, geography, and criminal justice to classes of no more than 20 9-12 grade students. Design and implement engaging, interactive lessons that help them develop their knowledge of history and society and critical thinking skills. Create positive, student-centered learning environment that facilitates the completion of goals and objectives particular to the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Candidates with OUT-OF-STATE licenses: You MUST have ALREADY applied to the NJDOE for reciprocity and be able to submit a screenshot of your application status to be considered for this position. Candidates must live in New Jersey or be planning to relocate to NJ.
