MS Dean of Students
Purpose of Job: Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment. Develop and implement school policies. Address student behavioral issues. Collaborate closely with other administrators and staff to develop and execute strategies aimed at improving student retention and success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):

Student Support:
- Address student needs and concerns, providing guidance and resources.
- Advocate for students' interests and well-being.
- Promote student success and development.
- Student Conduct and Discipline:
- Manage student conduct and disciplinary processes.
- Ensure adherence to school policies and procedures.
- Implement and enforce disciplinary actions as needed.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, parents, and community members.
- Maintain open communication with students and their families.
- Serve as a liaison between student departments and institution administrators.
- Policy Development and Implementation:
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to student success.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Prepare and present annual statistical reports.
- Monitor student attendance and behavior.
- Identify trends and patterns in student data.
REPORTS TO: Middle School Principal

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
A Master's degree in building leadership is preferred. Hold or be eligible for Missouri Teaching Certificate
Experience:
Relevant experience in student affairs, education, or a related field is required.

Other:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
