Associate or Full Professor of Game Design & Development
The College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity (CEHC) at the State University of New York at Albany seeks a tenure-track Associate or Full Professor to lead its new undergraduate and graduate programs in Game Design and Development beginning Fall 2025. The Game Design Program Director will shape and lead the program by developing curricula that meet industry standards and integrates emerging trends in game design. The Director will work closely with faculty across various disciplines, including Business, Art, Computer Science, and Communication. Responsibilities include overseeing game design spaces within the cutting-edge $180 million ETEC complex, which provides state-of-the-art facilities for research and teaching, as well as recruiting faculty, securing grants, and building industry and community partnerships through events and outreach. The selected candidate will teach two courses per semester, conduct research, and actively support the department's commitment to diversity and inclusion in technology and society.
