Position Summary
The laboratory of Philip Lazarus, PhD, is seeking a Research Support Specialist to support research focusing on the general areas of metabolism, gene-environment interactions, and pharmacogenetics, spanning the spectrum of cancer causation, prevention and treatment as well as drug addiction. Applicants should have a basic working knowledge of conducting laboratory experiments and will be expected to help in lab management and participate in the carrying out of research projects, protocols and experiments.
Job Duties :
- Set up, calibrate, operate and maintain laboratory equipment and scientific instrumentation.
- Assess laboratory inventory and order lab supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Perform research activities including assisting with data analysis and interpretation.
- Maintain detailed lab records and scientific data including working with graduate students and postdocs / research scholars to maintain appropriate lab records.
- Instruct personnel on the safe use of laboratory supplies and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands Salary Range $45,000 - $48,000 Additional Salary Information The salary range reflects our good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting, the role and associated responsibilities, and the experience, education, and training of the selected candidate.
