General Job Summary
The Consumer Loan Processor is the primary support to the AVP/Consumer Loan Manager and Consumer Loan Officers. Primary functions include pipeline management with a focus on meeting timing requirements for application/disclosure documents, maintaining compliance requirements, ordering, and tracking of necessary items needed throughout the loan approval process.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Monitor individual pipelines and identify estimated closing production.
- Timely review and submission of all file documents throughout the loan process.
- Assisting with the ordering of required items needed throughout the loan process (credit reports, title work, flood certifications, appraisals/evaluations).
- Follow up on all necessary ordered documents and services.
- Follow up with clients as necessary to obtain documents or answer processing related questions.
- Stay up to date on guidelines, internal processing procedures and Company polices.
- Timely review and submission of all TRID Changed Circumstance requests to ensure re-disclosures requested are submitted and compliant.
- Regulation B timing and tracking.
- Creating application/disclosure documents.
- Review of both application/disclosure documents and closing documents.
- Assist with customer service-related calls.
- Assisting with closing and post-closing related items.
- Assisting with tracking of final title policies and other final documents after closing.
Other Job Functions
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Education, Training and Work Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior Mortgage Processing experience required
- Understanding of real estate loan documentation
- Knowledge with Excel and Microsoft Word
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Maintain & foster positive relationships with internal and external customers and business partners
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with maintaining a high degree of accuracy
- Complete all training in a timely manner
- Knowledge of mortgage documentation
- Ability to stay current with guidelines and regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work under deadlines and work under pressure
Working Environment
Primary working environment is within an indoor climate-controlled office space and/or a private home office or some combination which will be at managements sole discretion. Employee may be subject to florescent lighting, dust, and other normal indoor allergens. Employee may work in close proximity of coworkers and occasionally independently in quiet environments.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Extended periods of sitting (at computer desk).
- Complete repetitive tasks (including operation of computer mouse/keyboard).
