We are currently seeking a passionate individual with daycare or preschool experience to join our team as the Director of UCD.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example, consistently modeling professionalism and displaying a true passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children and employees
- Create an environment of trust, rapport, and inclusivity, easily connecting with parents, teachers, and children from all backgrounds
- Ensure that the physical center environment adheres to health and safety standards, maintaining full compliance with all local and state licensing regulations
- Build and maintain a highly-qualified staff of about 25-30 employees by actively recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching current and prospective employees
- Oversee the completion of performance reviews for employees, helping staff develop and achieve individualized goals for their own professional growth and development
- Guide our teachers in implementing our curriculum, leveraging your passion for learning to help teachers create fun and enriching learning experiences at UCD
- Maintain the quality of educational programs and curriculum offered by UCD, and continually explore new programming opportunities that enrich children’s educational experience and enhance UCD’s unique co-op model
- Review and operate the budget and demonstrate an understanding of budgetary processes
- Drive consistent business results, measured through family retention, enrollment growth, and efficient business operations
- Manage the childcare center to achieve and exceed planned financial and enrollment targets
- Along with the UCD Board, analyze financial profit and loss results, customer and employee satisfaction measures, and other key performance data to make the best decisions for the success of our childcare center
- Manage accounts receivable and payable, generate monthly P&L reports, and oversee employee payroll
- Engage prospective families through in-person and virtual center tours and maintaining a website, effectively showcasing the benefits of our childcare program
- Organize and execute community marketing events to raise awareness and drive enrollment
Required Qualifications
- At least four years of experience in a licensed facility providing direct care and supervision to children, or meet other qualifications required in K.A.R. 28-4-429
- Knowledge of state licensing rules and regulations
- Genuine enthusiasm for childhood development and learning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in an environment focused on early childhood education
- CPR and First-Aid certified
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a similar field
- Experience managing a budget
- Lead teacher or other leadership experience as an early childhood education professional
- Experience supervising employees and communicating with parents
