Voted Best Dry Cleaners in the Shenandoah Valley, we have over 25 staff serving at 3 locations in Lexington and Staunton, VA with a desire to grow.
Director of Operations
- Report directly to President & plays a key role on our leadership team and with strategic planning.
- Embodies the healthy culture of University Cleaners
- Resident software expert (Xplor SPOT) and troubleshooter. Regularly attend SPOT expert hours and train other leaders on best practices. Continually working to maximize efficient and effective use of the software package.
- Responsible for hiring, training & oversight of daily operations (including 6-9 staff) at our store front retail counters with an emphasis on exceptional customer service including phone etiquette and professionalism. Offering on-going coaching to team.
- Handle A/R customer account setups (Delivery Customers, Laundry Service, House Accounts, etc.).
- Perform all A/R billing processes (Billing at the end of each month, recording payments and reaching out to A/R customers with declines or outstanding balances).
- Continually growing in knowledge about all aspects of business Retail/ Laundry Service/ Restoration.
- Customer Service role model. Winsomely address with customer concerns & elevates as necessary.
- Assist with Sales / Marketing – focused on expansion of the business including website improvements and development.
- Assist with acquisition of other businesses to ensure seamless ownership and operational transitions.
- Occasionally, picking up/delivering restoration jobs. Must be able to pick up and move 40 lbs., load and unload cargo vans.
- Occasionally, filling in operational activities when necessary (Route deliveries, laundry & dry-cleaning production, retail counter).
- Proficient with Microsoft office with an emphasis on experience with Excel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
