Position Summary: 

The Shipping and Receiving Manager manages and maintains all receiving and shipping operations at the Main Store.  They are responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving procedures are safely maintained in the workspace.  They review and update inventory in appropriate systems and databases.  They assist, train, and evaluate receiving and web fulfillment team members working in those departments.  They schedule inbound and outbound deliveries as necessary.  They keep dock spaces and stockrooms maintained and organized.  They organize and assemble inbound shipments and assist with managing product flow to the salesfloor.  They are responsible for maintaining all receiving and web fulfillment KPIs.

Key Accountabilities & Achievements: 
  • Accurately assess and sorts all inbound shipments and returns for sale, return, or store use, and communicates delivery to designated areas 
  • Effectively manages flow of goods from receiving to sales floor and maintains stockroom organization 
  •  Leads replenishment teams; ensures all supply chain processes and communications are being followed; ensure all merchandise is received and processed to the University Co-op selling standards with appropriate tags and SKUs on all 
  • Communicates and works to resolve inventory discrepancies with the store team and DC team as needed 
  • Collaborates with team members including those outside of Main Store team 
  • Acts as Manager on Duty (MOD) with occasional needs to support the opening and closing of the Main Store 
Knowledge, Abilities & Experience for Success: 
  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in stockroom management 
  • Shipping Procedures 
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Management 
Physical Demands:  
  • Substantial movements (motion) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers in a repetitive manner.   
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers  
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) 
  • Continuous sitting, standing, walking, using stairs, hearing, talking, bending, crouching, and working closely with others 
  • May need to operate equipment such as forklifts, power tools, hand tools, pallet jacks, and price guns 
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds via dolly) of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects 
  • Ascending or descending ladders or stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like 
  • Communicating with others to exchange information 
  • Operating machinery and/or power tools 
Work Environment: 
  • Ability to work flexible hours with variable schedules from week-to-week that may include early mornings, days, nights, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor store and stockroom environment.
