Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced culinary environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
We are also seeking a maintenance working for the day shift to prepare the restaurant before opening. This employee cleans/sets up the front of house; floors, restrooms, event rooms, patio, etc. Once done setting up the restaurant, this employee moves into the dishwashing station for the remainder of their shift.
Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and preparation.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
- Support the culinary team by bussing tables and assisting with catering events when required.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience in a culinary or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food service operations and catering practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Team player with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to help others and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
