Full time- Non Exempt
General Description of Position
We are seeking motivated college students for our Summer Internship Program, designed to provide hands-on experience in the health insurance industry. Interns will gain insights into business operations, departmental priorities, and work closely with experienced professionals. This opportunity will allow interns to contribute to meaningful projects that support our goal of delivering simple and worry-free experiences for our members, physicians, and associates.
Job Responsibilities
• Actively participate in department meetings, training sessions, and project initiatives.
• Assist with department-specific tasks, such as data analysis, research, customer support, or administrative duties.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Conduct industry research and present findings to department leadership.
• Support process improvements and workflow efficiencies within the department.
• Work with your department leader to complete projects and tasks within assigned deadlines.
• Perform additional job responsibilities as needed and assigned by the department leader.
Required Skills or Training
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Demonstrated leadership in a school or community organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive team player who can thrive in a dynamic and changing environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Interest in healthcare, insurance, or corporate operations is a plus.
Education/Certification/Licensure
• Current college student pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university.
Minimum Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk working on a computer.
• Frequent reaching, bending, twisting, and turning as needed during daily tasks.
