Job Description

Performs billing and collection activities for services provided by behavioral health division, utilizing a variety of electronic systems in the course of this work.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years minimum experience in healthcare billing.
• Must have proficient knowledge of claim denial and appeals process.
• Must have computer literacy and math aptitude, and the ability to use 10-key calculator, computer key board, and basic software applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Knowledge of all applicable regulations related to specific payers such as Medicare, Medicaid insurance is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD9/10 and CPT4 coding.
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Proficient level of experience in navigation of Direct Data Entry software, (DDE) EMOMED and commercial payer websites.
• Functioned for six months as a BH Patient Accounts Representative within the organization

• Associates Degree
• Certificate in Medical Billing
