Job Description
Jackson County Public Health is seeking a Mortality Review Board Coordinator to lead key case review programs, including Fetal Infant Mortality and Overdose Fatality Reviews. In this role, you’ll coordinate multidisciplinary teams to analyze mortality cases and implement recommendations that improve community health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of case review and community action teams.
- Facilitate meetings, ensuring collaboration among professionals, agencies, and community members.
- Draft reports, meeting minutes, and grant proposals.
- Train staff on medical record abstraction and home interviews.
- Track team progress and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Build relationships with community leaders, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups.
- Support the development of policy recommendations and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with public health guidelines and contract deliverables.
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, or related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong group facilitation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience working with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with chart review and home visiting.
- Must meet Jackson County’s Fleet Driving Safety and Compliance Policy (if applicable).
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a related field.
- 4 years of experience in public health or community outreach.
- Experience in pediatrics, obstetrics, or related fields.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
