Job Description
We’re looking for a highly organized, people-focused leader to manage staff scheduling for our Long-Term Care (LTC) department. You’ll ensure optimal staffing to support quality care delivery, maintain compliance with policies and regulations, and contribute to a positive work environment for both new and existing team members.
What You’ll Do
- Manage master schedules for all LTC units, adjusting based on census, PTO, call-ins, and budget
- Coordinate with leadership to maintain adequate staffing across all shifts
- Oversee the LTC and PRN staff scheduling process, including time and attendance tracking
- Participate in recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and orientation of new staff
- Supervise assigned staff, providing training, support, and performance feedback
- Analyze staffing data to support decision-making and operational improvements
- Address attendance issues in partnership with leadership for optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate staffing records, payroll reconciliation, and system data entry
- Collaborate across departments for new hire orientation and department-specific training
- Support regulatory compliance and promote quality, safety, and cultural awareness
- Represent the department professionally in all communications and interactions
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3 years of LTC nursing experience (CNA, CMT, LPN, RN)
- Demonstrated knowledge of clinical staff scheduling
- Experience with timekeeping, payroll, and scheduling software
- Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience with spreadsheets, databases, and timekeeping platforms
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare
