Position Summary
School nursing practice requires the combination of professional clinical nursing practice with promotion of the health, well-being, academic achievement, and success of the school-age child. In this leadership position, the Charter Manager - APRN, under the clinical direction of the Hawaii Keiki DCO, establishes clinical processes and procedures, monitors the quality of clinical services provided, and trains, technically advises, mentors and supports the Hawaii Keiki Charter Team. The Charter Manager - APRN is called upon to work closely with the Charter APRN and Charter RN Supervisor to provide primary, urgent and chronic care services to children in the health room utilizing a virtual platform. The Charter Manager - APRN is responsible for providing professional development to the Hawaii Keiki Charter School RNs and HTs across the state. The Charter Manager - APRNis the lead representative with the Charter Commission and will also participate in committees and stakeholder groups supporting nursing practice in the charter school setting.
This Hybrid position works 2 days from home and 3 days at UH Manoa.

Qualification Requirements
Education, Training & Experience:
Minimum
- A graduate degree in nursing and eligible for or licensed in Hawaii as an APRN with prescriptive authority.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
- by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or other nationally recognized certifying agency.
- BLS/ Healthcare Provider certification.
- One year of leadership experience in community-based health care settings, school nursing or pediatric nursing.
- Knowledge of state medical information release procedures and laws.
- Knowledge of HIPAA rules, regulations, and compliance.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations for blood borne pathogens.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with the use of electronic health records.
- Experience in developing program reports.

Salary : $118,000 - $122,000
