POSITION SUMMARY
The Charter Clinical and Training Assistant is a training instructor and clinical assistant with primary duties associated with the delivery of standardized course material developed for Hawaii Keiki (HK) Charter staff on the use of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for use in public charter schools. Performs training duties associated with provider, nurse, medical technician/assistant and clerical user access and use of the systems for documenting patient care. The Charter Clinical and Training Assistant supports the Charter Manager - APRN and Charter Supervisor with administrative tasks associated with managing services provided to charter schools.
This Hybrid position works 2 days from home and 3 days at UH Manoa.
Full-Time Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:00pm
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education, Training & Experience:
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification, or current BLS Certification
- Experience in use of an electronic health record for electronic documentation and reporting.
- Experience in supporting and training a diverse group of health personnel.
- Experience in presenting materials for face to face and online classes, and delivering lectures to small and large groups.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide and diverse audience.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and virtual meeting applications.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Customer service skills
- Familiarity with Patient Confidentiality laws (HIPAA)
