What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Architect position at University Health - San Antonio?
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform tasks as related to the critical enterprise environment which will provide service delivery of the distributed and core network environments. Leads small teams of network engineers to deliver secure, stable, and available enterprise class network environments. Responsible for Tier/Level 3 networking support for internal and external Technical Services customers. Using a broad understanding of the available technologies creates end-to-end network solutions designed to specific business requirements as provided by the IS Network Manager. The person in this position is responsible for designing and delivering strategic technical initiatives by crafting multiple tactical solutions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in a computer related field and 4 years of experience is required. 8 years of related experience, or an Associate's degree and 6 years related experience, may be substituted for required education/experience. Professional certifications from one of the following preferred: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Experience in multiple vendor and platform environments is preferred.
