POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides strategic leadership and executive oversight of all pathology and laboratory services across University Health’s hospitals, ambulatory centers, and outreach locations. The Vice President aligns laboratory operations with the health system’s overall mission, drives innovation in clinical diagnostics, ensures financial stewardship, and maintains compliance with all regulatory standards. Acts as a key advisor to executive leadership and collaborates closely with medical directors, operational leaders, and external partners.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in medical technology or an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university is required. Ten years of related, progressively responsible health care leadership experience is required. Successful completion of a structured clinical program (CAHEA approved) and certification in clinical laboratory sciences by a recognized certifying agency or completion of accredited structured clinical program and certification by a recognized certifying agency prior to 1963 or Bachelor's degree in an appropriate biological/chemical/medical science from an accredited college or university and a clinical laboratory specialist certification is required.
