What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumber Pipefitter position at University Health System- San Antonio?
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides services required for installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems of University Health (the Health System) buildings and facilities. Performs assigned duties promptly and proficiently. Complies with the Health System and departmental policies and procedures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or equivalent and a Texas Tradesman Plumber-Limited License are required. Four years’ experience as a plumber is required. Aforementioned experience is preferably gained in a hospital setting. General knowledge of high-pressure steam and steam repair reading, interpreting, and applying plans, specifications, blueprints, schematics, codes, and work orders. The ability to weld and cut pipe under direct supervision or independently.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A valid Texas State driver’s license is “Class C” and must maintain a clean motor vehicle record and be insurable by the Health System.
