POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality improvement and training implementation of retail services staff at multiple facility sites to ensure nutritious, efficient and cost-effective services, based on identified needs, guidelines, regulatory standards, policies and established goals and with a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsible for maintaining quality standards of kitchen functions at multiple sites, and monitoring and evaluation of central kitchen processes. Promotes a positive, rewarding and service-oriented work environment in support of high quality patient-centered care, exceedingly competent and engaged staff, and the achievement of fiscal, score card and process improvement goals and objectives. Maintains compliance with University Health policies, Cafeteria policies, and all Local, State, and Federal regulations. Ensures proper hygiene, sanitation / safety and correct care and use of foods, supplies and equipment. Maintains cordial employee, staff, patient, and guest relations.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Food Service, Restaurant, Business Administration or related field is preferred. Seven years of management experience in institutional food service or cafeteria environment required. Food service management can Management experience in health care is desired. Relevant work experience and skills may be considered in lieu of a degree on a case-by-case basis.
LICENSURE
Must maintain Texas Food Manager Certification.
