What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Technician position at University Health?
To provide highly technical skills in the construction, installation, operation and maintenance of electric, electronic, direct digital and pneumatic controls associated with HVAC and Building Automation Systems. Monitors, synchronizes, repairs and maintains the controlling mechanism required for efficient operation of Plant Engineering equipment throughout the facilities of University Health System. Complies with UHS and departmental policies and procedures.
- EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Associates degree in Electronics is preferred. Three years’ experience in Pneumatic, Electronic and Electro-Mechanical Controls Maintenance and Repair is preferred including one year of HVAC schooling required. Five years’ experience in repairing Honeywell and Johnson and / or other HVAC controls in large facilities is preferred.
