RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Learn and adhere to all policies and procedures.
-. Coach and develop players with a philosophy that aligns with the University Heat's mission and values.
- Communicate regularly with team families concerning logistics and all team activities.
- Be consistently engaged with the University Heat's directors and staff to address concerns quickly, with a positive attitude.
- Travel to various local practice gyms and tournaments as assigned
- Develop and implement basketball training programs for players of various skill levels
- Teach fundamental basketball skills, including shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
- Plan and conduct practice sessions to improve individual and team performance
- Provide guidance and support to players during games and competitions
- Evaluate player performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to coordinate team activities and events

Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching basketball at the youth or high school level
- Strong knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct and motivate players
- Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline among players
- Experience working with students or in a childcare setting is preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
